    it’s a solar kit for 10 bucks… Reading the negative reviews is probably a good idea–I think most of them are correct, but expectations may have been too high. We did have to solder one wire after my son dropped the motor once. It does only work in direct sunlight. I haven’t tried a 100 watt lamp or some such. It is small, however it is the size I expected. The “solar puppy” head (the solar panel) is approximately 2″ long and 1.25″ wide for reference.Overall, it was fun for my kids…

    Incredibly Small I bought this as a project for my 6-year old daughter and her father to do together. So far they have completed the solar car and it does work, but we were incredibly disappointed by how small the pieces are. The pictures they put on the box are VERY misleading…you’ll notice there are no people, hands or other items in the pictures or background, and we actually feel as though this was done intentionally to lead people to believe that the pieces are larger than they actually are.
